A flight to remember

The fireball was shining
spreading it’s glowing warmth
into the sky,
promising the creatures of earth
with new hope

The day had come
for the baby sparrow
to leave its sweet abode
and mother’s care

It was eerie
as it looked down
from it’s protected heaven
It’s heart thumped
while it’s soul got ready
to take the ride of it’s time

The fear of failure
didn’t affect the mother
She was firm
Whatever the result is,
she didn’t care
as her duty was over

The little sparrow
took the flight at last
due to accidental fall
or sudden courage
to conquer the fear

It was falling
down to its death
It knew the dreadful end
but it wasn’t ready
to accept the tortuous end

The distance diminished
with passing minute
It was do or die situation
Flap your wings, it said

Frustration and dejected
it flapped its wings
one more time
with hope of things
will turn for better

Voila! Magic happened
It was not falling
It was flying… flying
up the sky
to touch the fireball

It bid farewell
to it’s sweet home
and flew in search
of it’s own identity

Life and Death

Life, oh the beautiful life
begins with smile
on the lips of the sweet baby
who accepts the world
with innocent ignorance
of future much awaited

As a child, we take first step
on this bridge between life and death
With no expectation,
we make sweet and bitter mistakes

Learning is our main goal
Curiousity to explore
leads us to unravel
the truth of life
which is actually lie

People enter and disappear
into our life like chapters
in this story of life
Some support
And some betray
but the true test comes
when death arrives

We learn to love,
We learn to hate
We learn to forgive,
We learn to detest
But in the end
we forget the essence
that was with us
during our first day
of our life

Death is inevitable
It can be soft and subtle
Or hard and rough
As we are nearing the end of the bridge,
we look back
at the journey behind
with hope and regrets
of leaving dear ones behind.

Sweet Symphony

When she smiled,
it lit his heart
When she cried,
it tore his soul apart
Her temper was like
thunder striking out from clouds
The serene water in the river
reminded him of her calm nature

She sat on the bench
at the Northern Hill Park
Her mood was like
the grey clouds
waiting to burst any moment
the heavenly showers

He knelt down in his knees,
and asked her
, "My Love, What's wrong?"
She looked at him
with teary eyes.
" I can't be with you anymore.",she said

The colour of his face
changed from hope to loss
"Why? Am I not good for you?", he asked
She didn't meet his eyes now
" It's me. I don't deserve you",she replied

He stared at her
and smiled instantly
He sang to her
the symphony

" You are the air I breathe
You are the light of hope
in my life that is like dark dungeon
You are other half of my soul
without which I am nothing
You make everything seem easier
when life is tough on me.
You are beautiful inside and out."

At last the rainbow came out
in its seven colours
She smiled though tears never stopped
Belief was once again instilled
And the negative thoughts disappeared
Like the grey clouds that were slowly vanishing
Her love for him enhanced
Thanks to his sweet symphony
that saved him from losing his love

Friends Forever

Small promises
Large commitments
of being together
and never letting go,
we made as children

Tight hugs melting hearts
Sharing dark secrets
at rainy midnights
Laughing carelessly
At our silly actions and reactions

Fighting for no reasons
and making up within few seconds
strengthened our bonds as friends forever

We were like  soul sisters/ brothers
healing our broken hearts
and supporting each other
during stormy times

When light of hope was blown away
by the winds of distraught and sorrow
You, my friend stood with me always
Like pillar of my strength and courage

Let the arrows of misunderstanding
come between us
Let the distance tear us apart
Let The Lord test our friendship
with problems and difficulties
I , my friend ,will never forget
that we are friends forever

Rain

The thick grey clouds
looked like bubbles
of hope in the sky
to the creatures
of the world
who detests the heat.

The thunder rumbled
and lightning struck
from the top
where the almighty played his game

The cold wind blew
bringing with it,
the sense of exuberance
of beginning of good things

Tiny little rain drops
fall on the ground
making tiny spots everywhere
while the fauna lit bright
at the touch of the water

The monsoon has come
marking the end
of the summertime sadness
Seasons change
bringing with them
new changes in life

If I was super rich

If I was super rich,
I could fly to places
with my private jet.
Filling my eyes
with the evening lights
and mesmerizing nights of Paris
While waking up to the sunrise
and watching the great
Statue of Liberty in New York

If I was super rich
I could drive an Audi
with peering eyes and jealous stares
on the plain roads of Azbekistan
and the narrow paths of China

If I was super rich
I would build houses like palaces
with big and lavish rooms
and a huge library
filled with books
It would have gardens
and sparkling fountains

If I was super rich
I could buy clothes
of brands that I always dreamt of
The colours of rainbow
Would fill my wardrobe
Gowns made by Vera wang
Would be my precious attire

If I was super rich
I would don precious stones
every single day
Diamonds from solitaire
Would be my best friend

If I was super rich
I would be founder
of multimillion company
where I would make
important decisions
and not care about
few losses of money

If I was super rich
I could buy anything I want
I would dine in fantasy resturants
And love? I would get it all
They say money can buy everything
Why not love?

If I was super rich
I could have toy boys
showering love in exchange
of high class lifestyle

If I was super rich,
will it able to transform
 my lonely heart
into happy one?
Will it buy a person
who could paint
my life with colours

They say money can buy anything
but not love,
Love comes within heart
It's beyond diamonds
Or the Vera Wang gowns
Or anything that money can buy

Imperfect

I looked my best
in my light pink blouse
Matched with tight black trousers
The eight inch pointed heel
gave a new look to my petite body

As I walked down the streets,
I saw glances of few strange people
Their faint whispers made me feel insecure
The devil in me appeared from no where
Avenging me for ignoring it previously

The confidence that I had before
Slipped in thin air
I was no more that girl
I wanted to be

Everything about me
was false impersonation
that I had created
In this ocean called society,
misfits like me have no life

Love and affection
 is long begone
Acceptance and forgiveness
are the words of past

Imperfection is looked down upon
Everyone wants to be
carbon copy of everyone else
Perfection in all things you do
is the key to success

What would be a world
without anyone soughting out artificiality?
How would it be if there was a rule
of originality ?
But that's just a wishful thinking

Until world drools over the perfectionism,
Imperfection and misfits like us
have to adjust being perfect.
