That summer night

The moon was high above
smiling at the girl mourning her lost love
The momentary breeze blew
helping her to beat the mood so blue

The temperature was moderate
but it didn’t cool fire beneath her
She sat on the wet grass
at the park where no one knew
existed in the land

She re-winded the time back
to when she was free and happy
She loved her life to fullest
until he came and broke
her peaceful life.

Her immune heart became
weak to sadness and grief
Love was sweet
she read somewhere
But no book or philosopher
ever shared the hidden truth

That summer night
was exactly the same one
she was witnessing now
The only difference was
love existed then
but lost now

She became crazy
throwing out her good girl shoes
trying to fit in his world
that was vivid and lively
unlike her life that was plain and dull

The reason of her actions
was his happiness and smile
Despite her soul disapproved
her every single move

People called her fool
blaming her for drooling
over him when he didn’t care about her
However she turned deaf and blind
Accused them for being indifferent and heartless

Time! He had time for everyone
from known to unknown one
except her, Well, she was his little lamb
following him wherever he went

Everything had expiry date
including their relationship
Indeed! A relationship without love
was sure to end soon

As she sat on the wet grass
on the hilly top of the park
that summer night
There was a serious fight
between her mind and heart

Erasing him out of her life
was going to kill her
It wasn’t easy to cut
the love she was tending
for countable years

Love wasn’t easy
but falling over again was tough
Hopes of that shiny armour man
was disappearing in thin air

As the night was coming to an end
she had to think about the new beginning
Where was she going to start?
What future held for her?
Was she going to love again?
