A flight to remember

The fireball was shining
spreading it’s glowing warmth
into the sky,
promising the creatures of earth
with new hope

The day had come
for the baby sparrow
to leave its sweet abode
and mother’s care

It was eerie
as it looked down
from it’s protected heaven
It’s heart thumped
while it’s soul got ready
to take the ride of it’s time

The fear of failure
didn’t affect the mother
She was firm
Whatever the result is,
she didn’t care
as her duty was over

The little sparrow
took the flight at last
due to accidental fall
or sudden courage
to conquer the fear

It was falling
down to its death
It knew the dreadful end
but it wasn’t ready
to accept the tortuous end

The distance diminished
with passing minute
It was do or die situation
Flap your wings, it said

Frustration and dejected
it flapped its wings
one more time
with hope of things
will turn for better

Voila! Magic happened
It was not falling
It was flying… flying
up the sky
to touch the fireball

It bid farewell
to it’s sweet home
and flew in search
of it’s own identity
