मेरी प्यारी बेटी
मेरी प्यारी बेटी;
अनोखी और निराली;
वो दुनिया के लिए बोझ
लेकिन मेरी लिए शक्ति;
मेरी प्यारी बेटी
बड़ी शैतान और खिलाडी;
पर उससे भी बड़ी मनीषी;
मेरी प्यारी बेटी;
प्रकाशित करती
अंधकार मिटाती;
जहाँ वो जाती
अनोखी और निराली;
वो दुनिया के लिए बोझ
लेकिन मेरी लिए शक्ति;
मेरी प्यारी बेटी
बड़ी शैतान और खिलाडी;
पर उससे भी बड़ी मनीषी;
मेरी प्यारी बेटी;
प्रकाशित करती
अंधकार मिटाती;
जहाँ वो जाती
Doggy tales
He teases me
with his licks;
He whines
when Adele sings;
His eyes shines
at sight of me;
even when I am not long gone
He is mischievous;
as well as gorgeous;
when he tears his favorite toy
or sits on the forbidden couch
He cuddles
when I am sad;
He wags
at the sight of treat;
He gobbles
anything he sees,
He chases bunny
tiny as him;
He hates cages
as well as vets
and baths;
He enjoys digging
anywhere and everywhere;
He loves walks,
meeting other dogs;
like his human 'pawrent'
He gets excited
at the word of parks;
He needs nothing
except warm love;
with hugs and kisses
and lots of treats;
He is my dog
from the heaven;
He is God's gift
very precious and special;

Tribute to mum
I am not going to post any poem this time. This post is just a tribute to all ladies i.e . wives and mothers who painstakingly balance life and struggles. This women are important part of our busy lives. Imagining a day without them is worst nightmare. I have realized this many times before and after my marriage. But today after bruising my little finger due to accidental touch of hot vessel and preparing dinner and next day breakfast, I was amazed how mum would manage all these tasks especially preparing separate dishes to satisfy the tastes of every member of the house. Fortunately ours was nuclear family and later this practice was stopped.
However this practice of preparing dishes for every member of family is still practiced in conventional households. Maybe 80% of us were instilled by our society that their first duty is to be 'Masterchef' of the house and be expert or I can say we have to blame ourselves that we have given liberty to our loved ones to prepare their favorite dishes and we haven't gotten them accustomed to these liberties.
Being Masterchef was just a part of her duty, she is part time janitor, finance manager, housekeeper (in case domestic worker is not employed) and teacher. She has to perform these roles irrespective whether she has day job or not. She does it 24/7 and she has no paid leaves or public holidays or sick leaves.I have one good question to all of us including me- Have we ever substituted her role with her for a day? I haven't. But when you are in one's shoes, you realize and it is too late.
We have taken them for granted many times. We have thrown our frustration on them. We have shared our sorrows as well as happiness to them. But we have never asked them their wants and desires. Daughters understand their mother once they become wives. But what about sons? Still our traditional Indian society feel pride over the sons. Thus they never realize the worth of their mothers and expect their wives to substitute this role.
Things are changing now with years passing by. The 'womanly' tasks are no longer confined to women. But there are still some things that can be changed. A smile or 'thank you' or even tiniest appreciation can bring them joy.

Broken Angel
I am a lone heart,
broken and depart,
from the world
of betrayal and cold
I was an angel,
looking for love,
though warned by people
from my land,
"Expect the unexpected"
I was naive,
I was blind,
I was kind,
to follow my heart
Here I am,
withered and broken,
cold and wounded,
with no emotions,
inhuman yet undead
broken and depart,
from the world
of betrayal and cold
I was an angel,
looking for love,
though warned by people
from my land,
"Expect the unexpected"
I was naive,
I was blind,
I was kind,
to follow my heart
Here I am,
withered and broken,
cold and wounded,
with no emotions,
inhuman yet undead

Strange humans
Humans are strange
We see light in dark
We see dark in sunny day
We want to be alone in crowd
while need company when alone in world
We are close to beloved faraway;
but are far when close to them;
We want winter in desert;
We want summer in Artic
We wish nothing;
but need everything
We love life
and hate it same time
We call life strange
but we are bizarre
We see light in dark
We see dark in sunny day
We want to be alone in crowd
while need company when alone in world
We are close to beloved faraway;
but are far when close to them;
We want winter in desert;
We want summer in Artic
We wish nothing;
but need everything
We love life
and hate it same time
We call life strange
but we are bizarre

What is love?
What is love?
Is it physical intimacy;
induced by the hormones;
combined with lust?
What is love?
Is it a mirage to dumbstruck souls;
indulged in tales of romance
filled with lies and imaginations?
What is love?
Is it happy ever afters;
or beginning of new chapter?
What is love?
Is it a feeling
that brings happiness to few
while heartbreaks to many?
What is love?
A phrase in practical world;
An expectation to emotional fools;
who fall in this sweet trap
day after day
when they know the truth.
