Memories

Those carefree memories,
Preciously imprinted,
In our minds,
And our hearts,
Reminding us lost times,
We miss greatly.

Those lovely afternoons,
With slight cool breeze,
And that bright sun,
Smiling at us,
As we chatter and prattle,
Reminding us lost friendship,
Distanced by egos.

Those colorful pictures,
Of us smiling,
Holding hands,
And posing funnily,
Reminding us lost laughter,
Hidden by grief.

Those serene gateways,
At sunny beaches,
Or snow capped mountains,
Or unexplored heavens,
Reminding us lost peace,
Replaced by tiring work life.

Those first time,
you held my hand,
Or called me mom,
Or  walked on your own,
Reminding me lost joy of motherhood,
That will never come back.

Life is full of memories,
Some we cherish deeply,
Some we miss greatly,
And some we grieve intensely.
